Handvo/ Handva

Today I am sharing a Gujrati recipe Handvo/ Handva with you all. Handvo is a traditional Gujarati savory cake made up with mixed dal and some common spices that we use on daily basis. This recipe needs a very little oil so the diet cautious people can definitely enjoy this dish. This dish can be enjoyed at the time of breakfast, evening snack or as an appetizer before lunch or dinner. A less spicy, healthy option to eat for all my foodies. Handvo/ Handva Ingredients 2 cups rice 1 cup gram dal (chana dal) Half cup black gram dal (urad dal) 1/4th cup split yellow gram dal (yellow moong dal) 1 small cup grated bottle gourd 1 small cup grated carrot 1 onion grated Half cup green peas 2 tsp ginger garlic & chili paste 1 tsp turmeric powder Half tsp red chili powder 1 cup sour curds 1 tsp baking soda or 1 packet eno fruit salt. 1 cup water Oil to shallow fry handvo 5-6 dry red chilies Half cup sesame seeds Half cup mustard seeds Recipe Soak rice, g
