Dahi Vada
Dahi Vada is a dish made up with fried urad dal (black gram) dumplings dipped in sweet and sour yogurt topped with spices. Its a kind of chaat and is very popular dish in India. Dahi Vada is also known as Dahi Bhalla in Punjabi. Before serving these vadas, they are soaked in water or buttermilk for half an hour at least. Experience bliss in every bite of this recipe. Dahi Vada Ingredients 2 cups urad dal (split black gram - skin less) Half inch ginger 2-3 green chillies 2-3 pinches of baking soda 2 cups of yogurt or curd 1 small cup red chili powder 1 smal cup cumin powder 1 small cup chaat masala 1 small cup coriander powder Sugar as per taste Half cup tamarind pulp 1 cup coriander leaves 2 cups butter milk Salt as per taste Oil for frying Recipe Soak urad dal for 4-5 hours.
