Maharashtrian Kadhi in a creamy yogurt curry simmered with besan mixture. There are so many varieties of this simple dish. People across India cook this dish in different ways. For Example : Gujarati Kadhi version, Punjabi Kadhi, Rajasthani Kadhi, etc. Maharashtrian Kadhi is quite different from the North Indian Kadhi. It is slightly sweeter and is onion and garlic free. You can enjoy this kadhi with steamed rice or enjoy it as soup as well. In Maharashtra this is served with Puran Poli, Vada and Bhaje or with Spicy Masala Bhat. Masala Bhat or Masale Bhat is a spiced rice and veggie one pot meal. This is one of my favorite rice dishes. It is a Maharashtrian rice dish cooked with assorted vegetables and can be served as it is or with any pickle of your choice or Maharashtrian style Kadhi. I personally love to enjoy this rice with Kadhi. Masala Bhat is a popular Marathi cuisine with the mixture of spices. You can carry this in your lunch box as well. It can be considered as complete meal without any side dish to it. However these days it is often served as a rice dish in a thali or in a proper full course meal with other curries and rotis. Kothimbir Vadi is a most delicious snack that can be made at home simply anytime using few ingredients that we find in our kitchen. Earlier I shared Pudachi Vadi which is also known as Kothimbir Vadi. Todays recipe is another version of Kothimbir Vadi that I am sharing with you that is easier to make and is shallow fried. Usually these Kothimbir Vadis are deep fried but the recipe I am sharing is shallow fried. You can serve these Kothimbir Vadis as an appetizer, evening snack, tea time snack. Zunka is an authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. This dish is actually originated from Maharashtrian Villages. A most loved and regular food that our Indian Farmers love to eat after their hard work. This Zunka is really easy to make and a most delicious dish that can be made using Gram Flour and  onions with some simple spices that we easily find in our kitchen. Zunka is a dry version of Maharashtrian Pithla that I have shared earlier. This Zunka goes best with Bhakri (Jowar or Bajra Roti). Daal Chakli is not a regular fried chakli. But it is Steamed Wheat Dumplings with spicy Lentil Soup. This is popularly known as Daal Dhokli in Gujarat. But Daal Dhokli is sweet and tangy in taste. Today I am sharing a spicy version of it which we call Daal Chakli in Khandesh, Maharashtra. These are easy to make and is a one meal dish. You can prepare these anytime you wish to have something different than regular Roti Sabji for lunch or dinner. This dish is made up of wheat flour and the soup is made up of Pigeon Peas and contains very less oil so you don't need to be worried of having lots of fats while eating. Aambat means sour.  Aambat chukka is a green leafy vegetable. It is also known as Sorrel Green Curry or Khatta Palak Sabji. This vegetable can also called as sour cousin of palak (appearance is like palak). This dish is a very famous in Khandesh which includes places like Jalgaon, Dhule, etc in Maharashtra. Today I am sharing a Maharashtrian or we can say Vidarbhian recipe with you known as Gola Bhat (गोळा भात). In English we can call it gram flour balls served with steamed rice.
