Moong Gold Coin
We all are very well acquainted with Chinese Gold Coin.
Today I am sharing a yummy crispy and healthy Moong Gold Coin recipe with you all.
These shallow fried Moong Gold Coins is my mom's recipe, she tried making 2-3 coins initially and asked us to taste and they were so yummy that later on she started making these for us and even I learnt it from her.
Being shallow fried it need very little oil and also moong is good for health so we get high proteins from it too. Also moong is relatively easy to digest.
You can serve these Moong Gold Coins as appetizers before any party you are hosting, also they can become a yummy tea time snack as well.

Moong Gold Coin
Ingredients
- 1 cup moong dal
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Half tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1 cup water
- Oil for shallow frying
Recipe
Take the moong dal in a grinding jar and grind it into coarse powder.
Take the coarse powder in a mixing bowl and add red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt as per taste to it. Now add little water to it and mix well and form a dough.
Let it rest for 30 minutes. Heat oil on a skillet or in a frying pan for shallow frying the moong coins.
Make small balls out of the dough and flatten them between your palm applying little water to it. Gently put these flattened coins over skillet and cook them from both the sides till they turn golden in color and you get crispy crust over it.
Make all the remaining coins by following the same procedure.
