French Bean Sabzi

French Beans or Green Beans are the unripe, young fruit and protective pods of various cultivars of the common bean.
We call French Bean as Farasbi in Marathi.
This French Bean Stir Fry is gently spiced and No Onion Garlic recipe. French Beans are part of the common beans, pulses and peas. You can make various recipes using these French Beans.
This vegetable is also very less oily so health cautious people can definitely enjoy this dish. As I already mentioned it has No Onion and Garlic so our Jain friends or more Friends who don't eat Onion or Garlic this is a very nice option for them.
This can also be one of the most exceptional dish when you host a party and wish to serve something different to you guests.


French Bean Stir Fry
Ingredients
  • 250 grams french beans
  • Half tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Half tsp turmeric powder
  • Half tsp cumin powder
  • Half tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt
  • Handful of coriander leaves

Recipe

Chop french beans. You can chop them finely or into half inch size too.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it and let them crackle.

Now add chopped french beans to it and toss them.

Now lower the heat and add all dry spices to it, season it with salt and add coriander leaves to it. Mix well and cover with lid.

Cook the vegetable on a low heat. Keep stirring in between so it won't get burnt.

Serve this vegetable with Roti or Paratha with a side of any pickle of your choice and enjoy!
