Kaanda Thalipeeth (Onion Pancake)
Today I am sharing a one meal dish with you all, Kaanda Thalipeeth.
Kaanda Thalipeeth is a traditional Maharashtrian recipe. Lots of onions and spices put together in flour to make this yummy dish. Tastes best with pickles, curd (yogurt), chutneys and sauces. One of my favorite dishes ;)
You can have this dish i your breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Make small balls of the dough. Take on ball on platform and dust some flour over it and tap over the ball to flatten it. If you don't find tapping and flattening easy so you can flatten it using a rolling pin. Make a hole in the centre of thalipeeth.
Heat a skillet or tava spread little oil over it and put the flatten thalipeeth over it. Cook it from one side and flip it to the other side. Spread oil to the other side too. Cook the thalipeeth till you find crispy golden crust over it. Prepare the remaining thalipeeth following the same procedure.
Serving - You can serve the Kaanda Thalipeeth with the pickle or chutney of your choice, yogurt or ketchup.
*Note - You can increase or decrease the quantity of dry spices and water as per the quantity of wheat flour you take.
*Note - You can simply roll the thalipeeth with a rolling pin.
