Onion Pakora


When it rains in India everyone feels like having hot pakoras with different chutneys. One of the snacks that is loved by everyone. Today I am sharing the best snack with you Onion Pakora also known as Kaanda Bhaje or Onion Fritters.


Onion Pakora

Ingredients
  • 6-7 onions
  • 2-3 cups gram flour
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • 3-4 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water
  • Oil for frying
Recipe

Slice onions. Take onions in a mixing bowl add salt and dry spices red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, carom seeds and salt to it and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes. 
Now add 2-3 tsp gram flour to it mix well. Add more gram flour to make a paste like structure add little water to it and mix well. Add coriander leaves. Add salt if necessary.
Heat enough oil in a wok for frying. Once the oil is hot enough start adding smaller chunks of the batter with a spoon and start frying. Fry the pakoras on medium flame till they turn golden brown in color.
Serve crispy pakoras with chutney of your choice and fried chili.
