Gobhi Chana Dal
Gobhi Chana Dal is the most easiest recipe that I usually make at home and I love to have this dish with Parathas.
Here for this dish we need to use Patta Gobhi which is also known as Band Gobhi or Cabbage.
This dish is very simple and very less spicy and less oily made from simple ingredients found in our kitchen. This vegetable can be served with Roti, Paratha, Phulka or Naan. As I mentioned earlier that I personally love to eat this dish with Plain Parathas. Serve this vegetable hot and enjoy with your family and friends.

Gobhi Chana Dal
Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped cabbage
- 1 cup chana dal
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Half tsp turmeric powder
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
Recipe
Soak chana dal for 2 hours.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it and let them crackle. Now lower the heat and add chili powder and turmeric powder to it and sauté for 30 seconds.
Now add chana dal and chopped cabbage to it, season with salt as per your taste and mix well.
Cover it with lid and cook for 8-10 minutes. Keep stirring in between. Be careful and cook the vegetable over medium heat.
Serve hot.
