Potato Curry

A simple yet yummy Potato Curry recipe made from diced potatoes in tangy tomato onion gravy.
One of the most easiest and yummiest recipes. This Potato Curry can be served with Roti, Paratha or Steamed Rice. My husband loves to have this Potato Curry with simply Steamed Rice.
This is very mild and less spicy in taste made up using simple key ingredients that we find in our kitchen, that we use on daily basis.
No Mess, No Extra Efforts and No Excess Oil & Spices makes this dish very tasty and very tempting.
This dish makes your lunch or dinner yummier.
Kids love this dish too. Also this dish has a thicker gravy so you can carry it in your lunch box too.

Potato Curry
Ingredients
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Half tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste

Recipe

Wash and peel off potatoes and dice them or cut them into cubes. Soak them in water and keep them aside.

Roughly chop tomato, onion and garlic. Grind them to a smooth paste.

Heat up oil in a pan and add grounded onion tomato paste to it. Cook the paste till you see oil oozing out of it. Add the dry spices to it and fry for 30 seconds. Now add half cup water and let it boil for 30 seconds.

Now add chopped potatoes to it and season with salt as per your taste and cook them over medium heat.

Add more water if needed. Keep stirring in between.
