Bread Rolls

Snack Time!!!
Today I'm sharing one more snacking recipe with you all. You can serve these to your friends, family for snack, tea time party, kitty parties, kids party, lunch box and so on.
I hope you all enjoy this recipe with your family and friends.

Bread Rolls

Ingredients
  • 8-10 bread slices
  • 4-5 potatoes oiled and peeled off
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp chili paste
  • Half tsp mustard seeds
  • Half tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice or 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Half tsp cumin powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water to soak bread slices
  • 5-6 tsp semolina
  • Oil
Recipe

Mash the potatoes and keep them aside.
Heat 2-3 tsp oil in a wok add mustard seeds to it. As the mustard seeds start crackling add turmeric powder to it and add chopped onions and sauté for a minute. Add cumin powder to it and mix well. Switch off the flame and pour the sautéed onions on potatoes, add salt, coriander leaves, lemon juice or chaat masala, chili paste and salt as per taste and mix well.

Heat enough oil in a wok to fry the bread rolls.
Cut the sides of bread. Soak one slice in water, squeeze out excess water from it and make the slice bit flat. Stuff the potato stuffing in the slice and close from all the sides and make a ball of the bread slice. Now coat the bread roll with semolina well from each side and dip it gently into oil for frying.

Prepare remains bread rolls following the same procedure.
Serve hot with chutney of your choice or ketchup.

*Note - If the bread slice that you are using is smaller in size you can use 2 slices together by joining their edges. I used 2 slices for one bread roll.
*Note - If you don't wish to add chili paste you can add red chili powder to the stuffing depending upon your taste.
*Note - You can also replace semolina with bread crumbs.
