Pesaratu

Dosa is an authentic South Indian recipe that we find easily in every South Indian home. This is a crunchy crepe made up of Rice and Black lentils. But this is a commonly prepared dosa.
Today I am sharing a different style of Dosa with you all made up of  Whole Green Moong.
Pesaratu....that can also be called Green Dosa, that is very light and easy to make. This is a very healthy crepe that we can make anytime which needs no fermentation at all. And if you use a non stick skillet then you won't need oil as well so completely healthy and oil free dish that you can have for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or Dinner or simply anytime to calm down your hunger cravings.

Pesaratu
Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole green moong
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Handful of coriander leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for making dosa

Recipe

Soak whole green moong for 5-6 hours.

Now take soaked whole green moon, garlic cloves, ginger, chilies and coriander leaves in a grinding jar. Add little water and grind all the ingredients to a smooth paste.

Add little water to the paste so you get a pouring consistency of the batter like we make for dosa. Add salt as per taste and mix well.

Let the batter rest for 15 minutes.

Heat a skillet on medium heat. Take a ladle full of dosa batter and spread it over the skillet. Cook it from both sides nicely by flipping on both the sides. Apply little oil of needed.

Make all the dosas by following the same procedure and serve with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup.
