Potato Masala Sandwich

Potato Masala Sandwich
Ingredients
- 8-10 bread slices (white/brown)
- 4 potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Half tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 small cup cream cheese
- 1 small cup pudina chutney
- Salt as per taste
- Unsalted butter
Recipe
Stuffing -
Boil potatoes for 3-4 whistles.
Finely chop onion.
Peel of the boiled potatoes and take them in mixing bowl. Mash them nicely and add finely chopped onions to it. Add dry spices red chili powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala and salt as per taste to it and mix well.
Assembling Sandwich -
Take 2 bread slices in a plate. Apply cream cheese to one of the slices and apply pudina chutney to the other slice.
Using a small spoon apply potato stuffing to one of the bread slices and cover it up with the other slice.
Heat a skillet on lower medium heat. Apply unsalted butter to the bread slices and put the sandwich over the skillet. Roast the sandwich from both the sides till you get a nice golden crust over it.
Prepare the remaining sandwiches by following the same procedure.
Serve these sandwiches with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
*Note - You can also add grated processed cheese if you like.
*Note - You can use mayonnaise instead of cream cheese.
