Tomato Soup

Tomato Soup is the most common type of soup that we find in restaurants and we can make it at home by following simple easy steps and using very few ingredients.

Tomato Soup is one of the top comfort foods in Poland and United States. Now a days this had been so popular that we get this soup all over the globe.
It can be made fresh by blanching tomatoes. Some people also remove the skins of tomatoes but I don't suggest it.

Tomato Soup
Ingredients
  • 4 ripe juicy tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1-2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp corn flour

Recipe

Roughly chop tomatoes and garlic cloves.

Take water in a pan and add chopped tomatoes and garlic to it. Also add bay leaves and green cardamom to it. Now let all the ingredients boil. Cover the pan for 5-7 minutes. Keep stirring the boiling mixture in between.

Switch off the flame when you see the tomatoes are nicely boiled and become tender and soft.

Now strain the boiled mixture. Take the boiled water in a pan.

Add the tomato residue in a grinding jar. Remove cardamom and bay leave from it and grind it to a smooth paste.

Strain the paste using a fine strainer. Mix this strained mixture to the boiled water and put it in heat again.

Now add black pepper powder, salt and sugar as per your taste to it.

Mix corn flour with little water and form a paste. Add this corn flour paste to the boiling mixture.

Now the soup will start thickening. Let it boil for 2 more minutes and serve.

Garnish Tomato Soup with crispy crunchy Croutons and coriander leaves.
