Palak Paratha
Ingredients
  • 2 cups wholes wheat flour
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • Half tsp carom seeds
  • Half tsp red chili powder
  • Half tsp cumin powder
  • Oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water

Recipe

Rinse spinach leaves nicely and finely chop them.

Take whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl add salt as per taste, add carom seeds and spinach leaves to the wheat flour and mix well.
Now start adding little water to it and knead the dough like we make for rotis. Grease the dough with little oil and let it rest for sometime.

Heat a skillet on medium flame.
Make small balls out the dough. Take one ball and roll paratha using a rolling pin and place the paratha over the skillet. Once you see some bubbles on paratha that means the paratha has begun to cook. Spread some oil over it and flip it to the other side.
Now spread some oil to the second side too and cook the paratha from both the sides till they are crisp and golden brown from both the sides.

Make all the parathas following the above steps.

Serve the Palak Parathas with pickle, ketchup, dal or any chutney of your choice.
You can also stack the parathas in a casserole and serve them warm later.

*Note - You can replace red chili powder by adding green chili paste to the dough.
*Note - Quantity of spices depends on your taste.
